Hello! My name is Hashauna Richardson McKie, and I’m a colorblind, self-taught digital artist and illustrator from Mallorca, Spain.
I’ve always been enchanted by the worlds of fantasy and storytelling, which is why I love creating whimsical fantasy illustrations and designing original characters. Art has been my greatest passion since I was very young. Back then, I spent hours drawing with just pen and paper. It wasn’t until 2012 that I discovered the world of digital art, and it completely changed the way I create.
Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to learning and improving through tutorials, courses, and workshops. Being colorblind once made me feel insecure about painting, and I used to tell myself I could never become an artist. But over the years, I’ve learned to understand and use color in my own way. Even though I still face challenges, I feel truly blessed.
For me, art is healing. If my illustrations can make someone smile or feel inspired, then every bit of effort is worth it. I hope to never stop creating and sharing my imagination with others.
My goal is to collaborate with animation studios, indie game developers, and children’s book authors. Recently, I volunteered as a character designer for an indie animation studio, and I’m currently illustrating a children’s book — a dream come true that reminds me why I started this journey in the first place.
